What should I bring when I drop off my dog?

Bedding

We always say bring what makes your pup comfy while you are away, but, it’s not necessary to bring a bed with you when your pet visits us! When your pet isn’t out having fun playing with friends they will rest comfortably on a clean blanket.

Please do bring what you feel will make your dog the most comfortable, but do remember we at Barkin Barn are not responsible if anything is chewed up or destroyed - some pups do get nervous and destroy things that they typically would not….just keep that in your mind while you pack.

Medications & Supplements

Does your pet require medication? If so, please bring the medication in its original packaging with dosage instructions from your veterinarian. Please do not mix any medications or supplements with your pet’s food.

Toys & Personal Items

Again, we do want you to bring what makes your pup the most comfortable during their stay.  If you bring a toy or personal item from home, keep in mind it may get destroyed or possibly mixed up with other toys during their stay.  Please do not bring rope toys or rawhide of any kind due to the risk of choking.

Leashes

We have plenty of leashes, but if your pup requires a special harness or collar during a walk then please bring it along for their safety during walks.

Packing Food for Overnight Lodging

When your pup spends the night with us, we recommend keeping them on their own food. Since we don’t have the space to store large bags or containers, please pack food in Ziploc bags labeled with your dog’s name.
